The Little Flowers of St. Francis of Assisi
(c. 1250-1261)
The Little Flowers of St. Francis of Assisi was not written by St. Francis himself but by Brother Ugolino of Montegiorgio,
to make his readers aware of many "noteworthy things" left out of the "official" biographies of St. Francis.
However, since the one Great Books listing where I saw this work had it listed under the name of St. Francis (and since I doubt many have heard of Brother Ugolino),
I have listed it under St. Francis' name as well as Brother Ugolino's.
